IPO Frenzy Grips Indian Markets: 3 Mainboard and 10 SME IPOs Set to Launch This Week

India’s primary market is buzzing with activity as three mainboard initial public offerings (IPOs) and ten small and medium enterprise (SME) offerings are slated to open for subscription this week. This surge underscores the robust investor confidence fueling one of the most active IPO seasons in recent years.

The three mainboard IPOs, spanning sectors such as infrastructure, consumer goods, and technology, are expected to collectively raise between ₹500 crore and ₹2,000 crore. These offerings reflect the diverse growth opportunities in India’s economy, with companies capitalizing on buoyant market conditions to fund expansion plans. Meanwhile, the ten SME IPOs highlight the growing appeal of smaller firms, which often attract investors seeking high-growth opportunities despite inherent risks.

The Indian IPO market has been on a record-breaking spree in 2025, with over 150 issues raising more than ₹1 lakh crore so far. This momentum is driven by strong retail participation, bolstered by systematic investment plans (SIPs) and increased financial awareness, alongside significant institutional interest. The recent listing of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, which debuted at a 31% premium, exemplifies the potential for substantial listing gains, further fueling investor enthusiasm.

However, experts caution that while the IPO boom presents opportunities, it also carries risks, particularly in the SME segment. Analysts advise investors to scrutinize company fundamentals, including revenue streams, debt profiles, and promoter track records, to mitigate risks. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has also ramped up oversight of SME IPOs to ensure transparency and protect investors, which may enhance market credibility but could raise compliance costs for issuers.

As India’s benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, continue to scale record highs, the IPO pipeline shows no signs of slowing. This week’s offerings are expected to draw significant attention, with market watchers optimistic about sustained activity in the second half of 2025. Investors are advised to approach the market selectively, focusing on companies with strong growth prospects and sound governance to navigate the opportunities and challenges of this vibrant IPO landscape.
